What we should do

We need to try and become allies with some of the über strong alliances. Anyone besides Var whos good with negotiations should try and get some allies for us.

i can most likely get us NAP's, but not many want to be alies right now cos its too much of a resource comittment.
btw, someone declared war on one of our allies 2 days ago, but i didnt say anything because dragon didnt even fight back and were being taken out by 1 or 2 cruisers, so wasn't worth us interfering.

Don't count on me fighting in any wars in the near future. I can't build a damn thing. Currently researching.

i agree on that and we wouldnt need an ally then, or we could, but should just be naps i think.

An NAP is better than an ally you get all the benefits of not being attacked by them and don't have protect them in a war

But also vise versa
If we get in a war they wont protect us...
However i do think NAPs will work better.

why start a wing we lost 60% of our members and only 20% of those still here is capable of makin a real attack. no offencse to the guys with less than 1k points but we arent strong enuff to split into a main and wing alliances. what we need to do is consolidate what we got left, i offered to set up a colony somewhere near someone but no one responded so i just it where my main is. couple of weeks ago i got crashed and lost over 285k in ships and res, today the guy that hit me is a one of my farming planets. the guys went from a rank 34 to rank 800 something. i think he quit cause of it. those of ya that dont have a fleet or is getting raided/farmed daily, needs to start using up your res build a small cargo and fs to an colony build your mines and researches, build something so people will stop lookin at ya as a farm planet and more of a waste of duet. check what it says on my logo and try it out, it will make a big difference.

Good points, by the way we didn't lose members, we eliminated inactives.

And i think we should try the wing thing, but nothing official yet. Just to see if it works.. we should talk more about it later.

I think that it should be open for apps. I think the AoE section should also be open for apps for members ranked 400+ while AoE.tw will be open for anyone.

My alliance is kinda small right now, and I talked to Charles86 in your alliance, and he thought it might be an interesting idea that my alliance sort of disbands and becomes your wing alliance. All the members in my alliance are very active, (2-3 times a day online, except for one guy) and I'm sure will be a benefit to you. If your not interested just tell me, but if you like it, I will step down as the leader of my alliance, and let one of your guys step in. Message me back and tell me what you think

Good to know that there is an interest in my proposal. You could possibly send some of the lower players, and new players to my alliance, that you have the strongest together to defend the wing. My advice would be keep those players that are ranked 1-1000 in the main alliance. That way you can keep a stronger presence in the main alliance, and can help out better those that are in the wing. Send someone over to my alliance as a leader, telling me who you are, and what your business is, and I'll let you in and then step down as leader. I'm hoping to return to the main alliance of AoE.
